3D World issue #77 is out. I wrote three articles this time.
1. Movers and Shakers – “Fish Heads Fugue and Other Tales For Twilight” by Lauren Indovina and Linday Mayer-Beug is a mixed-media masterpiece inspired equally by Jan Svankmajer and old puppet shows.
2. Movers and Shakers – “Football Toys” by Pericles Michielin. Violence, cross-dressing, and the creative use of lipstick: all in a day’s work for the denizens of a toy factory production line in this polished comic short.
3. Showreel – “The Cags” by Alexei Petrov. We humans spin through the universe like so many cogs in a giant machine. Independent filmmaker Alexei Petrov has taken this weathered concept, polished it with a touch of CG, combined it with his individual sensibilities, and wound up with an impressive, entertaining short film, The Cags.
