Michael Witmer’s Pinkerton has a new Fan Art Saturday feature. As I’m a fan, I chose to draw the Pinkerton character Turtle Boy. What? Don’t know what Pinkerton is? Is that even possible? Well, go have a LOOK!

Congrats on getting fan art pick! Honestly I will have to check out the site. New to me.
I’ve been meaning to ask for some time, and you’ve prolly answered several others who’ve asked the same thing – what is your drawing method? Pencil/Ink/Paper, scan and color? Or have you embraced the Way of the Wacom for everything?
Turtle-boy rocks, btw.
Thanks, Jase! Paul – I use good old-fashioned pencil and paper, and then I use Windsor Newtons and a Sakura brush to ink it. It’s incredibly old-fashioned, but something about me is that way.
If I were true to myself, I’d be working as a stop-motion animator somewhere… I love all that old raw stuff.
Thanks for the notes.
(PS – Oh, I do color the things in Photoshop, and you’ve guessed it right, I use a wacom…)
