I’ve got a bit of a late Christmas present for you all – HERE‘s a shot from Moon Town featuring archival footage of a historic launch. I’ve included larger format renders in a variety of desktop-friendly resolutions. Enjoy.

Speaking of resolutions, Happy New Year, everyone!

Very nicely done Steve… she is looking great! Can’t wait to see it in motion. The background plate really sets it off with that awsome moon.

    Keep up the great work!

  2. ZooRocket says:

Oh… could we also get a 1680×1050 of the image? The 1440 gets a bit pixeled when stretched. Thanks! :)

  3. steve says:

Thanks, Jase! And, yup – I’ve just uploaded a 1680×1050 version, just for you! It’s up at the EYECANDY page. Enjoy!

Ahaha – brilliant. This is really nailing home to me the look of this series. I think you’ve hit the right balance of stylized work and realism. It’s like you once said: everything should feel like it belongs to the specific reality of the show. This image really does that for me.

  5. steve says:

Thanks, Paul. Yeah, it does seem to be finding a look of its own.

This looks great Steve. Really gets up my enthusiasm a notch! I can only agree to what Jason and Paul have said. Keep up the good work!

Dude, just had to say I really like it…its like Team 17 meets Pixar…and believe me that’s a very good thing. Its great design work and colour work here from you. Particularly like the design work.

  8. steve says:

    Thanks, everyone!

Michael – yeah… design is important, eh? Who knew!? heh heh

  9. Matt says:

Man you sure know how to tickle one’s fancy.

  10. steve says:

    Thanks, Matt!

BTW – for those of you looking for a high res version of this for your desktop backgrounds, I uploaded new ones tonight, featuring a clearer render of the moon and a sexier border background. *shrug*
