Yep, it’s been a long, sad march toward smaller horizons for Cyan. It’s just very sad. They seem to keep limping along, but I’m not sure I’d recognize the operation anymore. Most of the folks I knew are gone.

Josh Staub works for Disney now, believe it or not. He did the lighting on their new animated feature Bolt, and did a great job, if you ask me.

CYAN was always a magical place to me. I have posters of Myst and Riven images on my office walls. <br/><br/>Does anyone know if Josh Staub is still working at Cyan? This is a pretty massive layoff. Their main business for the past couple of years has been their testing facility. I think the production staff - artists and programmers - have been laid off or unemployed one way or another for 6 months or more.<br/><br/>But the QA wing was the one hope I think for bouncing back. To see them drop from 50 to 7 employees... It's a pretty heavy hit. I guess we'll see. They’ve shut down, and laid off, and limped along for years. This is a pretty massive layoff.
