Security Cruiser textures done

Told you it takes longer for me to texture these things than to build ‘em. *sigh* Oh well. It’s done! Well, maybe not done, but abandoned, right? I mean these things are never really done, but I’m pretty happy with it and I know it’s time to move on ‘cuz there’s lots more to be done. Click HERE to see the original design for comparison. Click the graphic above and the two below for higher res versions of each.

And of course, if you really want a good look at ‘er, HERE is a 360 degree spin MOV. Enjoy!

Really great stuff Steve. In my opinion, the security cruiser turned out even better than the Moon Shark. I hope you’re able to keep this standard and keep up the motivation even in the future! keep up the great work!

All that I can say is: WOW!!! Holy crap! Great stuff Steve… I think this turned out amazing. The textures really sell the design. I have to agree with Mathias on this, I think it turned out better then the Shark too.

Nice work on the textures Steve! You stayed true to the original sketch which I really liked. And I agree with Mathias and zoorocket that it turned out better than the Moon Shark. Good work!

Glad you like ‘er, guys. Seems the SC is the hands down fave, but I still have a soft spot in my heart for the evil Shark. :)

    Nice to hear from everyone.

No wonder you’ve been so quiet! Definitely can see the effort here. I love the textures. You manage to invoke a “toon” quality even tho we know it’s 3D. I’ve always loved that middle ground, but without that harsh “toon shade” look that’s so obvious and cheapens the whole thing.

    Holy poop! Looks freaking awesome.
Only thing it could use is a deeper bump/displacement map, but I doubt it would really make any difference in action, as the bolts and plates around the hull are quite small details and it’s just something you might notice when seeing a still like this.

Still, wow, this turned out great with textures,
I’d definitely say the time it took was worth it.

zOMG, I just looked at the 360 shot, looks great.
