I have several favorites, and am having a tiny problem deciding which one is best for the long haul. It’s a good problem to have; usually I hate all the designs, so this is a luxury. One of the designs is a holdover from the Future Noir phase of Moon Town’s development. It’s a car that looks like a 1950s cruiser, and also looks a bit like a fedora. It fit Ace Tripline when he was a Rick Deckard-type, but now that we have a young, green female Security Guard in this role, the fedora no longer seems the proper visual metaphor.
Right now, I’m leaning hard toward the football-shaped sketch in the upper middle of Sheet#2, or the little bubble ship in the upper right corner of Sheet#2, or one of the Flying Cars on Sheet#1 (middle right, if you must know.)
Off to mull if over. Your comments and suggestions are welcome…

I would go with the middle right on sheet 1. “That’s the cup of a carpenter.”
Nice, Jason. heh heh.
There is a whole bunch of designs that I really like in there, but I’m leaning more towards the second or the third design on the left row in sheet #1, thats how I feel a security cruiser would be like. To me, it feels like they all could be part of the same security agency (at least the four ships in the middle of sheet #1), but in various levels of ranking.
top middle of sheet 2# is perfect for a sexy vixen character.
Interesting the different directions you guys are coming at this from. It’s good to have a bunch of sketches to choose from. I guess after all my talk about Character Based Design, the job is to figure out which one looks like a simple security guard’s cruiser?
Paul – I’ll be sure to tell Cassandra you feel that way.
Vixen indeed.
I like the first sheet best, the second and third sheet look more like transportation vehicles to me.
I would say I like the the second one from the top on the right(middle right one), and the bottom left one.
The bottom left one looks a bit too good for a rookie though, sort of like a corvette police car, like in the Need for Speed games.
The middle left one looks a bit too much like a taxi to me, but if modelled, the emergency light would not make me think of a taxi.
The shape also looks abit taxi-ish, though I guess not a lot of taxis have guns.
The bottom right one looks more like a van type of vehicle, either for prisoner transportation, or for transporting teams of security forces.
Well, that’s my opinion anyway.
