The secret is OUT! J. J. Abrams (seen here wearing the limited edition Moon Town t-shirt I sent him) is throwing his hat into the Moon Town fray. :) I haven’t been able to talk about this until now, but I’m pleased to announce that it looks like Moon Town is going to be a Feature Film!

Most of the details have yet to be ironed out, but J. J. Abrams and Aardman Animations (who have a little history animating a story on the moon, above) are all somehow involved in the project. Details to be resolved, but obviously the plan is to do it as a stop motion film with CG augmentation. This is very exciting.

Not much on the cast so far, but names have been bandied about such as Simon Pegg as Simon (naturally), Cameron Diaz as Cassie, and Gary Busey as Vetterick. Gimme a Jeff Foxworthy as Jimmy, and I’m in hawg heaven! More details as events warrant… Yeah!

OK. Fun is fun. Yes, it was an April Fool’s joke

Wow, this is great news, Steve! I’m really pleased that Moon Town looks like it will be up there omn the silver screen — and if Aaardman are involved, it has every chance of being a classic! Congratulations!
