As you know, I’ve been toying with my SuperFogeys Origins story for Brock Heasley about The Thrice Evil for some time now (see sample, above). Meanwhile, life in the SuperFogeys Universe has continued, as Brock has brought his story to a point where he is *very* excited… some big revelations ahead for SuperFogeys fans. If you haven’t been reading it, you *should* be. If you are, then know that Big Things are coming Thursday, August 19. As you may know, I will be drawing the episode of Brock Heasley’s SuperFogeys Origins dealing with the origin of Thrice Evil. He’s posted the second sneak preview of my sketches for that project, which I will be working on as soon as Moon Town #1 is finished (just a couple of weeks now). HINT: scroll down below Marc Lapierre’s current excellent SFO strip… that’s where you’ll find the preview.

I’m a big fan of Brock Heasley’s excellent comic The Super Fogeys, which chronicles the misadventures of retired superheroes living in an old folks home for supers. So when he recently asked me if I’d draw a 5 page backup story for an upcoming release, how could I resist? We batted some story ideas back and forth and came up with something we both loved, and now I’m drawing it and he’s writing it, and it’s very exciting.

There are two new comic collections are now available for your comic buying and reading pleasure:

First, David Reddick’s first Legend of Bill comic is taking pre-orders. This comic will include a bunch of Legend of Bill strips, and a few extras, such as a 5-page comic-book format story which I wrote, as well as a three page short story I wrote and illustrated. These stories are not available elsewhere, so I would encourage you to snag yourself a copy and see what we’ve been up to lately.

Second, Brock Heasley’s first SuperFogey’s bonus-sized comic collection is taking orders. Lots and lots of extras in this bonus collection. The list reads like a list of extras on a collector’s edition DVD. Nice! In somewhat related news, I’ll actually be collaborating with Brock on a very cool upcoming comic. We’ll be making an announcement in a few days.
